Tree branches were the inspiration behind the Runa lamp. The way they branch out from a single trunk providing physical and visual balance, which we used for the illuminating tubes. We decided to invert it again for physical and visual balance.
We chose borosilicate glass tubes for the branches and imagined them to illuminate gradually, creating a smooth outward movement in the tubes.
Many hours of research and development went into the building of the illumination system of the lamp, which consists of programmed LED chips to achieve the exact emotion we imagined when switching Runa on.
